Located in the center of the district, Villeray is bordered to the East by the Saint-Michel neighborhood, on the west by the Park Extension district, to the north by Ahuntsic and south by the disrricts of Petite- Patrie and Rosemont. Villeray offers its population of green space and streets lined with tall trees. Villeray is a district of tenants making it a more mobile population than the rest of the city since the last few years. It is more than half the residents who have moved. The real estate market of Villeray consists of condos for sale, duplexes, triplexes as well as several other multi housing. Single family homes for sale are rare but there are still a few. The area is crossed by major circulation north-south: Saint-Laurent boulevard, Saint-Denis Street and Christophe-Colomb Avenue. The construction growth of Villeray was in the period of post-war. Nearly 71% of homes were built between 1946 and 1980. In Villeray, the properties built between 1981 and 2006 are much less common.
